This past Sunday I had the absolute pleasure of gathering with some of South Florida's elite professional women and co-hosting Nailed not Screwed: a DIY Nail Lounge with my fabulous friend Michelle Madison of Miami Now TV at the chic Red South Beach hotel.

The idea for Nailed not Screwed came to Michelle after she had a poor experience at a popular Miami nail salon where she paid top dollars for a less than perfect manicure. It wasn't just about the money, she waited 3 hours to get her hands and feet done and that was with an appointment, but her unfortunate experience led to this amazing invite only event, which everyone enjoyed so much. Guests got to reserve to one or all three nail sessions: Working Girl, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Girls Rock. Visit Miami Now TV's Pinterest page for a rundown of all the tutorials that were done.

Once inside the ladies were greeted with champagne and Snobar cocktails in form of popsicles or ice cream, which were not only ridiculously delish but perfectly refreshing for a hot summer day. You can find these amazing 21 and over treats at the Red South Beach hotel and other select hotels and liquor stores in Miami. I also can't forget to mention the savory bites from Barok Miami. And what's a party without some super yummy sweets provided by Keisha's Cakes (Make sure you check out the nail polish bottle cakepops she made in the picture below.)

Of course the real fun didn't start until we sat down and got started on our nails. The Working Girl session featured Del Sol color changing polishes that change in the sunlight (only the sunlight so they're perfect to keep a professional look at work.) After each workshop, guests proudly showed off their new acquired skills on the mani cam. All girls in attendance received a swag bag with their very own Del Sol nail polish color and some more bites provided by popchips.

pop 'n pose: a popchips event

taking a cue from one of my fave tasty treats: popchips -- ti'm writing his entire post in lowercase letters!

you might have heard that the pretty popstar katy perry is the new face of popchips, but what you might not know is that in honor of this perfect partnership, popchips has embarked on the national pop 'n' pose tour.

miami's pop 'n' pose event took place this past weekend at aventura mall and in case you missed it i'm bringing you all the highlights.

You may have heard about the launch of Miami Now TV  last weekend. And while the party was a complete success, a lot of hard work went into the planning and I, along with the Miami Now TV family thought it was highly important to thank all of our wonderful sponsors and guests!
