August isn't even over, and I'm already hard at work picking up a few of my fall wardrobe items and accessories.
Because I live in Miami I get away with wearing a lot of open toe shoes that I know my snowbird buddies in northern cities can't. The downside is I can't rock my boots (btw: I'm a boot lover) until the weather starts to cool off, but I usually can't wait that long and I bust them out around October. After all it's fall (as garnered by Mother Nature and meteorologists) by October.
In honor of Friday, the best day of the week, here are my favorite things to get me ready for the fall!

Girls if you know me then you know I love shoes, I love animal prints and I love studs. Put them together on a stylish pump and it becomes a must have.

This heavy metal ring will bring out the rock star in you. Not only is it gorgeous and unique, but it's also made very well. I was completely surprised by this purchase. JewelMint really does offer good quality products at great prices.
Favorite Fragrance:
Dot by Marc Jacobs
I waited such a long time for this perfume to come out that when it finally came out I forgot that it was out. So imagine how pleasantly surprised I was when I saw it at Macy's last week.
I tested it out on my wrist, decided to walk around the store in search of a present and let it set. When I was on my way out I decided to sniff my wrist and I loved how it smelled, so I bought it. The scent is very sweet, so if sweet isn't your thing than this scent isn't for you.

These shoes just came in this week and I was so happy to see how green they are. The picture on the Nordstrom site made it look like an aqua color, which I had no problem with, but they are a gorgeous bright green.
I have the perfect LBD to rock them with!
Now I'm just missing my perfect boots and a few scarves and I'm almost ready for my favorite season of the year: fall. Are you ready?

Hey lovelies!
Happy Friday. This is the last Friday of July, so I wanted to share some of my favorite purchases for the month. I can't lie I think I may have gone a bit crazy this month and bought one too many things.
These were my top 5 buys in July:
Favorite Pumps:
July is one of my favorite months because of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, which is still going on, but not for too much longer so make sure you take advantage.
I ended up ordering two pairs of shoes and these were fab. They don't look like much in this picture, but they're absolutely stunning in person. They're high and sexy and of course animal print. I'm thinking of rocking them with skinny jeans, a black blazer and a white tank top!
Favorite New Trend:
I'm crazy over hand and body chains, heck I'll even rock a head chain. They're simply fabulous.
This trend is very unique and quite hard to pull off if you choose pieces with too much going on. So my best tip is to keep the chains clean and simple and you'll look regal and cool.
Favorite New Earrings:
As much as I love statement earrings, I love a nice pair of studs just the same like these celestial ones from Bauble Bar.
They're simple, unique and fun to wear! It doesn't hurt that I have a fascination for accessories with stars.
Favorite Wedges:
First purchase from ShoeMint and I cannot wait to get to wear these wedges. My favorite part of the shoe: the exaggerated ankle wrap!
Favorite Summer Fragrance:
Honestly I don't think I'd ever try this fragrance: Harvey Prince Eau Flirt if it wasn't for the fact that I got to smell it in my July Birchbox.
It has notes of lavendar and pumpkin, which normally I'd consider yucky. But it's the total opposite of yucky, in fact it smells incredible and lasts all day. Great summer fragrance!
P.s.-- pumpkin and lavender have been clinically proven to spur passionate reactions in men. according to the details of the fragrance on birchbox, so you can let this perfume do all the flirting for you

Today we're celebrating the first day of June and summer is right around the corner, of course you wouldn't think that with all the rain that keeps falling in Miami.
But I'm not going to let any of this rain or gloominess keep me from thinking about the glorious time that's up ahead: summer!
What's there not to love about summer? If I could rule the universe and control the weather, it would be summertime all year round.

This week has been insanely busy, but finally it's Friday and here are my favorite things of the week:
Favorite Piece of Jewelry:
I don't really like rosaries as accessories, but this is a beautiful piece inspired by a rosary. This Pamela Love necklace can be worn on its own or with other similar pieces for a layered look.
Favorite Color:
Of course most of my favorite shades nowadays come in the form of nail lacquer, but take this hot pink shade (OPI Pink Flamenco), how can you not love it?
Favorite Comfy Wedges:
Wedges are a must in the spring and summe seasons, therefore you can never have enough pairs. I tried on these Jessica Simpson wedges and had to buy them as my everyday wedge for their comfort and height.
It's so rare when you find both height and comfort in one pair of shoes.
Favorite Discovery:
I can't say enough good things about Birchbox, it literally turns me on to new things. I'm completely obsessing over this Befine exfoliating cleanser made out of brown sugar, almond oil, oat and ginger extratcs. It's completely natural and smells amazing!
Favorite Thing:
Perhaps my most favorite thing of the week was getting my first set of Your Go-to-Gal business cards!

I really wanted to post my first Friday Favorites before the first month of the new year ended, and I'm glad I'm able to do so. I'm almost at a loss for words on how fast this month has passed by, so I'm taking a moment to reflect on some of my favorite things from this past week.

I laughed so hard watching this, but only because it was so true. Most Miamians really do talk like this. It's a shame, but it makes for a great video parody!

This past month I rediscovered my love for Nine West Shoes and metallics, so I bought this pair criss-cross sandals, which look so '70s inspired to me and today I am one happy shoe lover!

It's really hard to believe that 2011 is almost over. And this is the busiest time of the year, which means it will go by really quick.

Favorite Event:
Seeing one of my idols perform live was really a dream come true. Ms. Jackson, you are still an amazing performer. Definitely a personal highlight of 2011.

Ulta is much like a grown woman's candy store . They carry a wide array of cosmetic, fragrance and hair care brands and their Cyber Monday sales were outrageous!
Favorite Children's Christmas Gift:
I saw this rocker on the Neiman Marcus site and I'm still gushing about it. The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle was one of my favorite stories as a little girl. Naturally, I thought this is the sweetest toy any child could get this Christmas!

This has been such an amazing week filled with so much love and joy, despite rough weather. This past Wednesday I celebrated my birthday and these were some of my favorite highlights.

My Mini Cooper not only because it's a car, but mostly because I really needed a new car and second because Minis are my favorite cars!

Black and white is my all time favorite color combination for just about anything. It's timeless and elegant.

You know that fall is officially on its way when fashion magazines start rolling out their September issues. Vogue is one of my favorites and this year they selected Kate Moss, fashion icon and model to grace its cover.

Diamonds are indeed a girl's best friend, but pearls are a girl's loyal companion. You can throw pearls into any mix whether it's trendy or vintage and achieve an ultimate fabulous look.

I love Jeffrey Campbell shoes and now I'm even more in love with this fashion forward backpack. The fresh funky design goes great with the classic animal print.

Friday Favorites-- The Ill Edition-July 29, 2011:
This week has been pretty awful. I've been sick since Sunday and I'm just starting to feel better, which is why my favorites this week are a little odd, but when you're stuck at home because you are sick there's not much you can blog about.
Favorite Sense of Relief: Taking Nyquil (I can only stomach the cherry flavored one) to calm the coughing, sneezing, runny nose, so I can get some sleep medicine.
I mostly like how it makes me feel high and as if I were floating!
Favorite thing about being sick: getting out of work (although, I was feeling so sick that I wish I had been feeling just fine, so I could be working.) Weird, huh? I thought so too.
Second favorite thing about being sick: Having my boyfriend baby me, while I'm in zombie mode.
My last favorite thing about being sick is: the weight loss!!!! I always lose my appetite when I'm sick and I shed a few pounds.

Friday Favorites-- The Shopping Edition-July 22, 2011:
This past month, I have been feeling especially blue. I don't know if it's the rain or just the way things aren't going as planned, but whatever it is, I decided I needed to put an immediate stop to.
So I did what any warm-blooded fashionista would do, I went shopping and I shopped until I dropped. My wallet is lighter, but my heart is content, and that's what I need. I know I sound shallow and I may even be shallow, but there's an unexplicable happiness that is brought into my life by shopping.
This week's Friday Favorites consists of all the "materialistic" things that have put a smile on my face.
Favorite Mode of Relaxation: A much-needed mani and pedi, as I got a back rub on the electrical massage chair. I decided to go with a neon pink during this session to celebrate summer and infuse some color onto my wardrobe, though I mostly dressed in dark colors.
Here's what the mani looked like:
Favorite Eyewear: My brand new Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses in ivory that I got on sale from Rue La La. Anytime I can get anything I like on sale is a small victory for me.
I know this is a terrible pic I will update it when I can actually wear my sunglasses and take a nice pic.
Favorite Shoes: Online browsing is my thing and I spend a lot of time doing it, so I couldn't resist this pair I came across on Bebe. They are sky high and they have that rocker chi detail that just screamed my name, so I went out and got them.
Favorite Boots:
And thanks to the anniversary sale at Nordstrom I got these on sale! Double yay!
I will also post a blog about the many uses you can get out of these boots.
